Presentation of the Agora Lab Projects

Agora Lab

Agora Lab, the Agora Docs initiative that boosts films that are in the post-production stage, was carried out on Wednesday, March 16^th, at the Takis Kanellopoulos hall of the Thessaloniki Film Museum, within the context of the 24^th TDF, offering guidance and advice by experts. The candidate projects are Greek and the selection is made via the Docs in Progress submissions of the Greek films. One project will be awarded the Guidance Award by Paradiddle Pictures (Denmark).

The introduction was carried out by Selin Murat, Head of Agora Program, IDFA – The Netherlands, and consultant to the participants. “Thank you for being here. The idea behind Agora Lab is that the projects get help for the final cut or the editing stage and it is time for their creators to collaborate with other professionals from the field in order to develop them. They are given advice as to how to prepare strategies related to their films’ screenings at festivals. We have five Greek projects this year, some wonderful consultants, Eleni Chandrinou, a Greek producer, Christina Pelekani, a sales representative for Endorphin Films – Greece, and Yannis Sakaridis, director, editor and Artistic Director of the Drama International Short Film Festival. And of course, we have the Guidance Award of Paradiddle Pictures that offers the winner guidance for his project, provided after the end of this event as well”.

Yianna Sarri, Head of Agora, wished everyone good luck and as she mentioned: “this is the second year of Agora Lab and the feedback from last year was very encouraging. Enjoy it!”.
