West Dream

A family from Iran – father, mother and two daughters – leaves its homeland in search of a better life in Europe. As they try to sneak across the border between Turkey and Greece, their inflatable boat sinks in the middle of the river Evros. The two daughters are lost. A month later, the body of the younger daughter is found in the river. After her funeral, Hussein, the father, talks about their tragic journey to Greece, how the traffickers deceived and betrayed them, and how the local police ignored their desperate cry for help.
