Elise Jalladeau named General Director of the Thessaloniki International Film Festival

ELISE JALLADEAU NAMED GENERAL DIRECTOR OF THE
THESSALONIKI INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
 
 
Elise Jalladeau is the new General Director of the Thessaloniki International Film Festival (TIFF), appointed by the Greek Ministry of Culture, Education and Religious Affairs, following the resignation of previous Festival Director, Dimitris Eipides, in January. The Festival’s Artistic Director is expected to be appointed soon, by a decision of the Board of Directors, following a recommendation by Mrs Jalladeau.
 
Elise Jalladeau was born in Nantes, France in 1969. After a diploma of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques and a Master in Audiovisual law in Pantheon Sorbonne, she started working in film production in 1992. In 1996, she joined Artcam International, promoting a new generation of international directors such as Martin Rejtman, Jia Zhang Ke, Darejan Omirbaev, etc. In 2005 she created her own company Charivari Films and collaborated in parallel with Memento Films International. In 2010 she was appointed as Audiovisual and Creative Industry attachee at the French Embassy/Institut Francais in Athens and later became member of the Board of Directors of the Greek Film Centre (2011-2014). She has launched and headed for 10 years the Ateliers Produire au Sud and since 2010 she is head of the EAVE workshop “Ties that Bind”.
