This small publication, edited by Michel Demopoulos, is dedicated to a great Balkan filmmaker. The internationally acclaimed Romanian filmmaker, versatile and multi-talented (he worked extensively on all the different theater genre), was one of the “restless filmmakers of the communist era”, who was persecuted, but he remained defiant and rebellious. With an analytical and intrusive text by Nikos Kolovos, two interesting interviews with the director and a documentation of his films, reviewed by the director himself, this publication-scrapbook is the first step into the cinematic world of Lucian Pintilie.
