The opening of the 64th Thessaloniki International Film Festival’s main exhibition “FANT SM S”, as part of the Festival’s titular large-scale tribute. Nikos Kessanlis, Vlassis Caniaris, Celia Daskopoulou and Jason Molfessis, four of the most prolific Greek visual artists of the second half of the 20th century who have passed away, return to the present with a series of works that changed the history of contemporary European art.

The 64th TIFF has announced its full programme in a press conference held both in Thessaloniki and in Athens, featuring world-class names, as well as a series of intriguing tributes, films and special events.

Mastercard, the Festival's official card payment, is backing for the second year the Mermaid Award granted to the best LGBTQI+ film of the Festival’s official selection with a 3,000-euro cash prize. Moreover, it will host he event Iconic Talks powered by Mastercard, open to the public, where distinguished guests will lay down the representation of the LGBTQUI+ community in Greek cinema and television.
