Dimos Theos is a legendary figure of Greek cinema. In difficult years, he paved a rutty path with his work and presence, through which the New Greek Cinema would develop and establish itself. The documentary 100 Hours in May and the mythical Kierion, where the whole generation of filmmakers of the 60s stars, proved that filmmaking is a political action, marking at the same time a moral approach in life. This monograph, edited by Stratos Kersanidis, opens with an insightful text by the editor, followed by an exclusive interview with the director for the purposes of the publication and a series of texts, comments, testimonies and chronicles by collaborators, fellow travelers in life, historians, theoreticians, film critics and many more, who, in the form of “loving" letters, talk and write about their friend (a word which is constantly repeated), Dimos.
