In the prologue of the publication we read a poem about the director, written by Theo Angelopoulos, while the Festival Director, Michel Demopoulos writes in the introduction: The first film The Colors of Iris was the most unexpected creation of the New Greek cinema. The only Greek director of the magnificent Lefteris Vogiatzis, is honored in this volume with texts and readings of his work from a group of prominent Greek film critics. Following are testimonies by friends and collaborators, interviews with the director himself, and a detailed reviewed filmography. A useful and remarkable book about a director who used to spend his summer in Patmos together with Christos Vakalopoulos.
