The monograph opens with a powerful text by Savvas Michail, followed by a section of readings on his work (including also a small but essential text by Christos Vakalopoulos), a section of testimonies and comments on Costas Sfikas by collaborators, and views and interviews of the director himself. The book closes with his complete filmography (reviewed) of this visionary filmmaker, who, among everything else, had small roles in some of the most emblematic films of the New Greek Cinema. In addition, he was the first one who translated the essential texts by André Bazin in Greek, and he also directed some of the best episodes of the TV series “Paraskinio”.
