The special edition of the 26th Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival brings together 24 monumental manifestos spanning the history of cinema, and presenting personal and collective ways of negotiating actuality. Oscillating between the handbook and the diary, between poetry and list cultures, these brief texts by important auteurs reflect the ambiance of their era and become informal guides for younger generations of filmmakers.
