In the framework of the Agora Talks of the 62nd Thessaloniki International Film Festival, the discussion “Lost in Corona-shooting, Daughters, a pan-European road movie during Covid-19 era” took place on Sunday, November 7th, at Warehouse C, at the Port of Thessaloniki. Initially, Bettina Brokemper, the producer, from Heimatfilm Company and Konstantinos Kontovrakis, the producer from Heretic Company, took the floor, welcomed the audience and shared the story of the film Daughters.

The film Doxobus, first screened in 1987, came back on Friday, November 5th on the screens of the 62nd Thessaloniki International Film Festival, in the first of two global accessibility screenings held by the 62nd Thessaloniki International Film Festival, in collaboration with Alpha Bank, the Festival's accessibility sponsor. The film was prefaced by Orestis Andreadakis, the artistic director of the Thessaloniki International Film Festival, who identified himself before the audience.

The book presentation of the publication “Motherland, I See You” by the Hellenic Film Academy was held on Sunday, at Warehouse C. The book, which will soon be released by Nefeli publications, was presented by Dimitris Papanikolaou, assistant professor at the Law Department of Oxford University, Aphroditi Nikolaidou, assistant professor at Athens University, Geli Mademli, coordinator of publications for the Thessaloniki Film Festival and researcher at Amsterdam University, while Phaedra Vokali, general director of the Hellenic Film Academy, coordinated the discussion.

Panos Voutsaras delivered the first of the series of masterclasses held within the framework of the 62nd TIFF’s tribute on editing, on Tuesday November 9, at Pavlos Zannas theatre, bearing the title “Parallel editing vs. Cross Cutting”. Voutsaras, an experienced editor with a rich national and international experience, focused on the power of muviola to change the narrative of the story, in order to guide the emotion.
