The EVIA FILM PROJECT initiative of the Thessaloniki Film Festival is included in the rebuilding and restoration plan for Evia, launched by the Ministry of Culture and Sports. EVIA FILM PROJECT is part of the “Fotodotes” section of the specially designed program of developmental projects planned and executed by the Ministry of Culture and Sports, within the framework of the wider ongoing re plan taking place in the island of Evia, following last summer’s disastrous fires.

Greek documentaries, vibrant, multifaceted and pluralistic, take center stage at the 24th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival, which will be held from 10 to 20 March 2022, both in physical spaces and online. Within the framework of the 24th TDF, 77 full-length and short docs are screened as part of the three competition sections - International Competition, Newcomers and >>Film Forward - the Open Horizons section of the international program, as well as the Platform and From screen to Screen subsections of the Greek program.
