From Thursday, November 5 to Sunday, November 15, 2020, users from Greece will be able, with a simple registration to our website www.filmfestival.gr, to watch the films of the 61st TIFF.

Following the latest briefing by the Ministry of Health on the critical developments regarding the coronavirus pandemic in Greece, and with the assent of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, the administration of the Thessaloniki Film Festival, with a sense of responsibility and having in mind the safety of the staff and the viewers, has decided that the 61st Thessaloniki International Film Festival will take place online from November 5 – November

Sofia Exarchou, director of award-winning film Park, was assigned to direct the 61st Thessaloniki International Film Festival’s spots. Inspired by the unprecedented situation and with motto “Cinema, no matter what”, Sofia Exarchou created three cinematic spots, produced by Maria Drandaki/ Ηomemade Films.

Beloved Greek actress Katia Goulioni will be the Agora ambassador of the 61st Thessaloniki International Film Festival (November 5 – 15, 2020). Agora comes back from November 7 - 14 with actions and initiatives supporting Greek cinema. This year, due to the COVID situation, Agora will take place online.
